Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Location: Lusaka, Zambia
Reports To: Project Coordinator

Position Summary

The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer is responsible for harnessing implementation data to ensure our programs have a powerful and equitable impact on the communities we serve:

This role ensures that our research efforts are aligned with our organization’s goals and our decisions are informed by a deep understanding of how our programs are being implemented. A successful Monitoring and Evaluation Officer is able to build trust across all Dissemination stakeholders with an understanding of current best practices. The M&E Officer also collaborates closely with external partners and funders to ensure that our program is being implemented as intended.

This role is part of the Implementation team responsible for gathering implementation success research that drives the resource development, implementation and support.

Essential Job Functions

The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer is responsible for a variety of significant activities, including but not limited to:

● Establish and maintain a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Framework, aligned to our

organizational goals, to ensure that our programs have the intended impact.

● Lead internal data collection, analysis and interpretation.

● Ensure that all internal stakeholders understand and can communicate the implementation data relevant to their role.

● Collaborate with technology to ensure the mechanisms for data collection meet the needs

of all stakeholders and we follow industry best practices to ensure data security.

● Collaborate with external partners to strengthen their implementation data collection and analysis efforts.

● Fulfill external partner and funder data requirements, including managing and reporting progress toward grant goals.

● Support multi-year research projects and external research partners

Required Skills and Education/Job Knowledge

● Bachelor’s Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Social Sciences or a related field

● Master’s Degree (preferred)

● 3-5 years of education experience

● Familiarity with assessment tools and reporting structures

● Expertise with designing and implementing tools for data collection and cleaning (such as Excel, Stata,Airtable, Google Forms, or SurveyMonkey).

● Expertise with data visualization and reporting tools (such as Tableau, Domo or Looker Studio).

● Expertise in designing and facilitating outcome-oriented meetings at all levels

● Experience in Google Suite (Drive, Calendar, Gmail, Sheets, Docs) Microsoft

software (Excel, Word) Zoom (or similar video communication) and Adobe Acrobat

● Strong oral and written communication skills

● Strong analytical skills

Physical Demands:

● Ability to sit or stand and work at a computer and/or phone for extended periods

● Ability to assist with physical events and conference set-up
