OVER 4, 000 TEENS HELPED AND COUNTING Throughout its six-year existence, UP Zambia has assisted over 4, 000 teens and other vulnerable people who have found themselves in detention in police stations or prisons. It is is clear from its name which means “Remember Me”, that UP Zambia cares deeply about the plight of children in detention. This care pushes UP Zambia to get involved with everything from legal representation to individual and family therapy to vocational training to meeting the daily hygiene and other urgent physical needs of children while they are in custody. UP Zambia also speaks out on justice issues, advocating for changes that will bring about a more just and humane nation. We are grateful to our supportive local and international donor community for their partnership.
